Lethbridge College holding fall Open House this week

LETHBRIDGE – Students looking at Lethbridge College for their potential post-secondary education will be able to learn more about programs, student services and organizations that the offers during the annual Fall Open House on Thursday, Nov. 2.

The open house will feature booths showcasing all the programs offered by the college, and provides opportunities to speak one-on-one with instructors. It’s taking place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.

Visitors will also be able to tour the campus, take part in interactive program exhibits and learn about all the college’s student services which range from academics, to financial, to Indigenous and international services, to athletics and more.

Manager of Recruitment and Indigenous Services Shanda Webber says the college is inviting every to come to their campus and get a firsthand look at what they’re all about.

“Whether you know exactly what program you’re interested in and want to learn more, or maybe you’re looking for inspiration when it comes to choosing your post-secondary path, we’re here to help you.”
Lethbridge College offers more than 50 certificate, diploma and degree programs, which are all designed to meet industry and employment needs.

College officials say they always have something new to explore, and including the recently-approved Agricultural Enterprise Management diploma program. It has been developed to meet the changing business needs of the agriculture industry.

They will also be accepting on-the-spot applications at the Open House, and everyone who registers in advance online will be entered a draw to win a $1,500 tuition credit.

Webber finished by saying this is an event for everyone.

“Whether you’re still in high school, looking to return to college after taking some time off, or maybe contemplating a career change, this is a fun, easy and interactive way to learn more about the opportunities that Lethbridge College offers.”
