Lethbridge police determine sudden death in river valley is non criminal

LETHBRIDGE –   Police completed their investigation at the base of the High Level Bridge Sunday evening and the public is thanked for co-operating during a sudden death investigation. 

The investigation determined the incident to be non-criminal and has been turned over to the Medical Examiner.

The access road to the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, just north of Indian Battle Park in the river valley, was blocked around 2:30 Sunday afternoon and those using the area were asked to leave the vicinity.  Police and forensic crews, along with an emergency vehicle could be seen.   

The deceased is believed to be a 26 year-old male with no previous ties to Lethbridge.  No further information will be released.
