Coaldale activates snow routes ahead of expected winter weather

Dec 18, 2017 | 8:14 AM

COALDALE – The town of Coaldale has activated snow routes, ahead of the expected snowfall this week.

That means no parking along the signed snow routes, which are considered high priority for snow clearing. It would be in effect for a maximum of 72 hours from 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, but the town said it may be extended if conditions warrant.

Any vehicles parked on the street on snow routes during that time would be towed at the owners’ expense, the town said. It added the bylaw also prohibits shovelling snow onto town roads.

Coaldale uses a priority system for clearing snow from the streets.
