L.C.I., Cardston, and W.R. Myers see their football seasons end, while Willow Creek advances to provincial final

LETHBRIDGE – Following a Saturday afternoon with four local Southern Alberta high school football team in action, only one has advanced to the Football Alberta provincial finals next weekend.

In the Tier I South Region final on Saturday afternoon in Calgary, the #4 seed L.C.I. Rams were beaten 42-9 by the #1 seed St. Francis Browns.

The #2 seed Cardston Cougars had their season ended by the #1 seed Cochrane Cobras 21-7 in the Tier III South Region final.

The one successful team that’s moving on is the Claresholm Willow Creek Cobras, who defeated the W.R. Myers Rebels 21-9 in Claresholm.
