Hurricanes prospect has 3-point night at WHL Cup

CALGARY – Lethbridge Hurricanes prospect Noah Boyko had a goal and two assists, as Team Alberta defeated Team Saskatchewan 8-3 on the opening day of the WHL Cup Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Boyko, a product of Fort Saskatchewan, finished the game with a +5 rating. Lethbridge’s Ridly Greig, a Brandon Wheat Kings prospect, had a goal and an assist.

Alberta will play team British Columbia Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Markin MacPhail Centre in Calgary. B.C. lost to Manitoba 3-2 in a shootout Wednesday.

The tournament features under-16 players from the four western provinces.
