Final draft plan for London Road neighbourhood to be presented Wednesday

Sep 12, 2017 | 10:54 AM

LETHBRIDGE – After nearly four years of work, an updated redevelopment plan for the London Road area of Lethbridge will be shown for public input one last time.

Planning staff will be gathering feedback on the draft at a drop-in open house, 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at the Fish and Game Association building in Kinsmen Park (9 Ave. and 10 St. S). The input gathered at the open house will be added to the plan website along with a comment form.

When adopted, the new plan will replace one first created in 1982. The idea is to balance conservation with renewal in an updated long-term vision.

It’s expected the plan will be presented to City Council for approval in December.
