Henderson Pool season extended past Labour Day

LETHBRIDGE –  With the hot summer weather continuing into the fall, the City of Lethbridge and Recreation Excellence have announced the Henderson Pool operating season has been extended. The pool became a popular destination over the summer, and was originally scheduled to close after Labour Day. Due to the demand, a modified schedule plan was developed for after the long weekend.
 
Regular operating hours will end on Sunday, September 3rd and on Labour Day the pool will be open between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Beginning on September 5th, the pool will be open from 4 p.m. to sunset Monday through Thursday and from noon to sunset on Fridays and weekends until the 17th. The schedule will depend on the weather, and as the days get shorter the closing times will change.
 
A release from the city states the extended hours will let families and residents use the pool after school and on weekends to continue to beat the heat that’s kept the pool full all summer long.
