CALGARY – Just one Lethbridge Hurricane made it on to the 2016-17 WHL All-Star list.

Right-winger Tyler Wong broke the 51 goal milestone at the end of this regular season, and managed 109 total points. Those numbers alone place him among the league’s top skaters and goal scorers.

The 20-year old, who won’t be returning to the Hurricanes next season due to age restrictions, noted in a previous interview with Lethbridge News Now that his mind set was all about keeping the game simple.

“I think that I’ve been really blessed to be able to play with good players the last few years, and I’ve been able to get opportunities and the coaches have had faith in me. It’s been a pretty cool opportunity for me to be able to play in a great city like this, and to be able to have great teammates and a lot of great friends on the team who have helped me through a lot of ups and downs.”

Wong added that he’ll be trying to set himself up for some good opportunities, but his ultimate goal is to make the NHL.
