Online Community Forum To Improve Public Transit

Aug 15, 2016 | 2:27 PM

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge residents who have concerns over the current state of city transit and/or suggestions for the future of LA Transit, can now express their thoughts online somewhere other than Roast and Toast.

Residents now have an online survey to provide their thoughts, ideas and feedback.

As part of the Transit Master Plan, the City of Lethbridge has launched a community engagement website for the public.

The online portion of the project will work to compliment the face-to-face session which took place in June

Conrad Westerson, Project Manager, said that when people log onto the site they will find a number of questions related to public transit, and spaces where they may engage in a conversation around various topics.

“We recongnize that at this point in time we are in dire need of doing some upgrades and changes to provide better services for the community. Now people can tell us what they would like to see and others can comment on it.”

The website forum will be open for the next several months and participants are ecouraged to check back often.

Another public information event is anticipated to take place in October.
