Lethbridge Jr. Giants Win Junior Little League Championship

LETHBRIDGE – The Junior Little League Championship wrapped up in Lethbridge today with the host Lethbridge Jr. Giants dominating the Alberta representative Medicine Hat Expos.

The Jr. Giants enjoyed a great start and pulled in run after run which lead them to a final score of 12-1.

Head Coach, Shayne Macinnis, said that after coming in third in 2014 and then second in 2015, the players are very excited to participate in their first World Series.

“The players are really excited and they can enjoy their success tonight but it’s back to business tomorrow when we head to Michigan.”

The Jr. Giants will advance to the Junior Little League World Series tournament in Taylor, Michigan from August 14-21.

Lethbridge players representing Canada will face Mexico in their first game of the series, Sunday, August 14.
